Intellectual Output 1 produced a comprehensive report with detailed information about the educational systems in the 27 EU member states with focus on ISCED-0 and ISCED-1 curricula, academic and professional qualifications for teachers, information on school nurses and AEDs. Special attention was also paid to elements that are relevant with the pre-training of 6-10 year old school children in BLS and first aid.
The report includes information on:
- Basic Life Support/First aid training
- Related acquired cognitive and perceptual skills (learning goals per educational tier)
- Useful background knowledge, competences and/or skills
- General objectives/organization of nursery and primary school in each EU country
- Criteria for student evaluation and certification, where applicable
- Common educational elements and gaps in each country’s first aid training
- Recruitment criteria for nursery and elementary school teachers
This Intellectual Output served as background knowledge for the next outputs.
