Intellectual Output 2 developed an educational methodology introducing an innovative, scientifically backed approach to pre-train school children in resuscitation and other aspects of First Aid, modified the existing Basic Life Support algorithm (based on the 2021 guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council) and created the lifeforce BLS algorithm for schoolchildren 6-10 years old. Evaluation criteria were developed to evaluate the new algorithm against ERC guidelines, a taxonomy and classification of perceptual and cognitive skills used in the lifeforce algorithm was created, pupils’ assessment tools were developed and a theoretical framework and methodology for the preparation of teachers was also introduced.
