lifeforce assessment at Ekpedeftiki Anagennisi
On Thursday 18 May 2023, pupils from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade who were pre-trained in CPR and First Aid skills, successfully completed this journey of learning, fun and awareness.
The President of the Hellenic Society for Emergency Prehospital Care together with experienced volunteers visited Ekpedeftiki Anagenisi school and in collaboration with the teachers conducted the assessment of the pupils in the Learning Initiative For Elementary School Fun Oriented Resuscitation Coaching Europewide.
The assessment was designed for the pupils to demonstrate their knowledge of first aid and CPR skills using innovative teaching tools and fun, hands-on activities.
During the assessment, enthusiasm was abundant from both the trainees’ and the trainers’ side as a great journey was completed, through which they gained new knowledge and valuable life-saving experiences. The children through their participation in the lifeforce project prepared them for the Basic Life Support training that is applied after the age of 10 years within the framework of the Kids Save Lives program of the European Resuscitation Council.
From Ekpedeftiki Anagenisi, 17 classes from 1st to 4th grade, more than 400 students and 20 teachers (regular teachers, teachers of Music Education, Physical Education, Artistic Expression, Drama Education and the School Nurse) participated in the Project.
The lifeforce material is available for free download from the lifeforce website at https://project-lifeforce.eu/.
Congratulations to students and teachers for their participation as well as to the Scientific Team and volunteers of the lifeforce Project.
