Press Conference about the lifeforce Conference
A Press Conference was scheduled by the Hellenic Society for Emergency Prehospital Care and held on Wednesday, 10 May 2023, at 11:30, at the “Manolis Anagnostakis” room of the Thessaloniki Town Hall. The Press Conference was attended by TV journalists and crews, radio station journalists and print media/online media journalists.
Dr. Ioannis Kozaris, project coordinator and member of the Sociology of Education lab at the University of Thessaly, Ms. Sevasti Etmektsoglou, Speech therapist and member of the lifeforce scientific team, Dr. Konstantinos Fortounis, Thoracic surgeon, Director of the Surgery clinic at Papageorgiou Hospital and Secretary of the Hellenic Society for Emergency Prehospital Care, Mr. Anastasios Stefanakis, President of the Humanitarian Organization KIDS SAVE LIVES – Τα Παιδιά Σώζουν Ζωές, and Mr. Theodoros Kalyvas, IT engineer/technical translator and member of lifeforce presented the lifeforce methodology, material and goals, and answered questions by the journalists.
There was also a brief demonstration of CPR skills by 2 9-year old pupils from one of the schools which participated in lifeforce, the The Big Bang school, as well as by 2 16-year old secondary school pupils who had been trained by the Kids Save Lives program, and have become the youngest Basic Life Support instructors in Europe, certified by the European Resuscitation Council.
Following the Press Conference, a Press Release was also distributed to print and electronic media. Segments of the Press Conference were televised on the 10th, 11th and 12th of May.
